Exhibition AttendanceLivestock Food Promotion Exhibition - Young Kwon, Cherry Valley's agent for South Korea, recently attended The Livestock Food Promotion Exhibition at the COEX Exhibition Centre, Seoul. The exhibition proved successful with much interest being shown in both Cherry Valley's duck and The Korean Duck Association, whose members have been very successful in developing the Korean market. VIV China 2007- Cherry Valley Farms enjoyed another successful VIV China Show at the International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. An important biannual event for the dynamic China poultry industry. During the show, Richard Bird and Dr. Xinjian Yan met with most major local duck producers as well as many from other countries in the Asia Pacific region. The local producers are enjoying a newly found confidence after a difficult trading year caused by the AI crisis. The duck market is enjoying an unprecedented rate of recovery and all the sections of the industry are benefiting from this upwards trend of development. VIV Asia 2007 - Cherry Valley recently exhibited at the 2007 VIV Asia Exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand. Richard Bird and Malcolm Stimpson were assisted by Dr Wiebke Oellrich, Cherry Valley’s Customer Support Manager and Mr Boh Kee Yook, who is responsible for Cherry valley’s business in Malaysia. The exhibition was very successful and busy, with customers and enquiries from, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and Nepal. The disruption being caused to international trade, by Avian Influenza, was a major talking point. It was generally agreed that there is urgent need for governmental action, particularly within the Asia Pacific area, to progress the principal of regionalisation to alleviate the difficulties being faced by the industry.
